Beautiful Dissonance

This week has been the beginning of our Theology 2 course, which is a study of the nature of man, sin, and salvation. Needless to say, it's been a lot of fun, and the questions that have sprung forth from it have been a debater's joy, because there are so many ways to go at them.
3/4 of the time we don't feel the need to come to the same conclusions or even anywhere near a conclusive answer, because we are discussing simply for the sake of stirring up controversy and challenging thinking. Really the point is to create a kind of beautiful dissonance and then just revel in how huge our God is.

Not everyone in the class enjoys "arguing" points of theology, but, for those of us who live for it, the "discussion" hours of class are wonderful. Just to get the wheels in your head turning, here's one of the questions we were throwing around on Monday:
Does God love Satan, and, if He does, does that mean that we are to do the same?

Have fun trying to wrap your head around that one.

Blessings!
