Just outside of Portland, there is a village built and governed by people who are "homeless." It is called Dignity Village. This is a tent city that has grown up to be so much more than tents, and it opens up the imagination to dream about what a "homeless ministry" really ought to look like.
Often times, people don't need our help. They simply need the tools and resources (that we might have) to help themselves.
